Program: Perspectives on working at the IAEA and living in Vienna
Speaker: Robert A. Langley, Chief Scientific Officer, Oak Ridge Scientific Consultants

Abstract:

This talk will address some of my experiences while working at the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, and living in Vienna for three and one-half years. It will describe the IAEA, some of its inner workings, and how it is different from most other UN organizations; addressing such issues as how to get a job there, what the pay scale is, how one works in an international community, and the delightful Oak Ridge subcommunity.

I will try to show a variety of pictures on Vienna and environs, many taken on hikes and bike trips in the nearby Alps, on the Hungarian plain, and along the Danube river.
